Unleashing Creative Potential: Empowering Youth Through Visual Facilitation
This October, the serene village of Traisteni in Romania transforms into a vibrant hub of learning and cultural exchange, hosting the Erasmus Plus Training Course project "Digital and Graphical Skills for Youth Workers." Youth workers, educators, and leaders from across Europe – Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Türkiye, and Romania – will gather in this picturesque locale for an enriching week-long journey from October 21 to 28, 2023.
The heart of this project lies in its innovative approach: empowering youth workers to harness the power of visual facilitation and effective communication techniques. This method is not just about imparting skills; it's about creating a space where young people's voices are amplified, their ideas supported, and their creativity unleashed. Especially for those youth who might otherwise be left on the fringes, this approach opens new doors.
A Real Beauty: Traisteni
Traisteni, nestled near the Carpathian Mountains, offers an idyllic setting for workshops and sessions focused on visual thinking and facilitation. Here, participants will engage in practical exercises, learning sessions, and discussions, all aimed at enriching their toolboxes for youth engagement. The Loussiana Inn, our cozy retreat, promises a comfortable stay, fostering an environment conducive to both learning and relaxation.
What makes this project even more special are the intercultural evenings. Participants will bring a slice of their home countries – be it in the form of food, music, dance, or stories. These evenings are not just about sharing; they're about building bridges, understanding differences, and celebrating commonalities.
This project is more than just a week-long event; it's about building a community. It's about forging connections that last beyond these seven days. Participants, as change-makers in their own right, will leave with not just enhanced skills but also with a network of peers and friends from across Europe.
Navigating Forward
The end of the project doesn't signify the end of the journey. Participants will carry their learnings back to their communities, armed with new perspectives and tools to make a difference in the lives of the youth they work with. This ripple effect – from Traisteni to communities across Europe – is what truly encapsulates the spirit of the Erasmus Plus program.
